Modernism Period

Modernism was a broad cultural and artistic movement that emerged in the late 1800s and continued into the mid-1900s, especially strong between 1900 and 1945. It showed up in art, literature, architecture, music, and design, and it was all about breaking away from tradition and exploring new ways of seeing, thinking, and creating. It responded to huge shifts like industrialization, urbanization, science, war, and the feeling that the modern world was confusing, fast, and uncertain.
